I didn't graduate from Wirt but I attened school here from '66 to '71. Had some great memories of the ol' school but I have to be honest, tensions were high. We were in the midst of the 'Nam War, the draft, anti-war protests, boycotts, school desegregation, civil unrest, riots, LSD, MLK, RFK, Timothy Leary, flower power, purple haze, you name it, we dealt with it- the best way we could. And you know what, there's not one thing I would have changed. Wirt was special. The people I knew there were special. How could a city fail its schools--I'll never know. Thanks for the memories.

You know you are getting old when you can watch a movie for the second time and you have forgotten so much of it, it seems like the first time. When you wake up at 5:30am (without an alarm) and look forward to walking around the property and watering plants. I found this website and thought, wow, this is cool. I started reading the postings and found one I did over a year ago and don't remember doing it.
